OTA ADULTS

HOW IT WORKS!!!

At the start of every year, the OTA board sends out a reminder, via email or postal letter, alerting its members of the upcoming season.  In this document, you will find the following:

  • Registration deadline
  • The start of the season
  • Spring Kick-Off Party
  • League cost, Clinic Costs, Winter League Information
  • A registration form (you can also print it on-line)
  • Mailing instructions
  • Contact information
  • U.S. Open Bus trip details

Use the registration form received to select which leagues you wish to participate in. All registrations must be post marked by April 30th, including a check  payable to the OTA. You can also print a registration form by clicking the OTA Registration Page. You can also register in person at the Spring Kick-Off Party. Late registrations are gladly accepted.

A $15 fee covers one league and a $25 fee covers two or more leagues. You can play in several leagues, but only one single, one doubles and one mixed doubles. If you need a doubles partner, please indicate so in the comments area of the registration form. We will try to match you with someone.  THE BEST WAY TO MEET A DOUBLES PARTNER IS TO COME TO OUR SPRING KICK OFF PARTY :-)

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Adult League.  You should choose a level that best matches your ability. If you are not sure what level you should be participating at, give us a call or send us an email and we'll do our best to help you out.

Prior to the beginning of league play, you will be contacted by the division captain. He/She will provide you with a roster of players in your group, along with contact information. The captain will also detail how the particular league will operate.

Matches are scheduled by players themselves at times and places that are convenient for all. At the end of the season, the captain will contact the players that advance to the playoffs and the timetable for completion of the matches.

The season culminates with an annual gala called "OTA - Super Saturday/Sunday", where the final matches are played to determine the division champions.  Trophies are awarded.

NOTE: Please remember that this year the OTA is expanding the league to tennis fans interested in the non-competitive events. For the same membership fee, you can participate in fun events such as:

  • Season kick-off party
  • OTA bus trip to the US Open
  • Discount tickets to the US Open
  • Racket Demo Days
  • Season ending Super Saturday fun events
  • ...and many others

Check out the Calendar Page for more information and dates.
